I mentioned the plan to Stacy, and she immediately said I can do it ... followed by a list of foods I can't eat this week!! After seeing the list of food on the "no eat" list, I am scared of the teeny tiny list of "okay to eat" foods. I am not going to starve myself ... that's not healthy and it won't work anyway. So basically, I am going to eliminate all carbs (bread, pasta, potatoes etc), sugars (fruit included), salt (which isn't a problem for me since I don't like salt), and I am going to be drinking A LOT of water. I will be sloshing around for the next few days. Luckily, I like vegetables, so I don't mind salads and frozen veggies, but I'm already missing some foods ... I had a bowl of boring oatmeal this morning while my parents and cousins all had bagels!!! That was not easy, but I got through it. My mom made chicken soup for me and my grandma, and usually we put egg noodles in it ... not this time - I loaded my bowl up with carrots. Still tasted great!!! And now, I'm munching on celery! BLAH!!!
Since tomorrow is New Years Eve and the gym is closing early, I won't be meeting with Stacy till Wednesday. Normally, I would be happy for an extra rest day, but not this week. It's too cold to run outside, so I will use my apartment building to my advantage ... There are 14 flights of steps in the building ... so tomorrow, after work, I will be running up and down these steps as many times as possible. I also want to keep my legs moving. The run on Wednesday will be much easier if I do something tomorrow.
I already know it won't be an easy few days for me (and everyone around me ... I apologize in advance), but it will be SO WORTH IT to see that scale go down 3 pounds and to get my next marker at the meeting. It's only a few days of "diet hell" ... I can and will get through this!!!!
